The Bricks are finally finished yay!!!!!!
Someone has shaved inside the frame assuming it's to get ready for gyprock. Just need the roof cemented. I spent ages last night reading blogs and it looks like it still takes about 4 months from this point until we will get the key...Really happy with the colours, it has come togther nicely, I would of liked an Ironstone front door but wasn't sure if I could match a screen door, if I find one I think I will paint it : ) I Spent a little time and ok Dan spent a lot of time moving left over bricks to the back fence line. Gutters are connected. and the next door now has a driveway, so looks like we will have a fence soon. I am sure that will end up causing us to retain what we once thought was a flat block...

18th April
The Brickie is back, his daughter has had her operation and all is well, says he will be finished tomorrow Yay...The electricians have been and wired up the house and the solar panels are on the roof. The water tank arrived and we are pleased it is colourbond not plastic, Dan less upset now we didn't go for the slim line which was $1300 extra. Some timber arrived which looks like it's for the eaves...Now if only the rain would stop. Dan had to go around and dig a little trench to get the water flowing onto the neighbours block as it was up to the brick line/edge of portico. And I went to council to submit the plans for Dan's Man Shed....$800, wasn't expecting it to be that much! So here is hoping for some sunshine because once those roof tiles are cemented there is no stopping for rain. I had to stand on a massive pile of chopped up footpath that was stacked on the neighbouring house's front yard to see the solar panels.

9th April
well today the roof went on but it rained so they couldn't cement the capping, said they will be back later to do that. No sign of the brick layer, still a few days work left. Contacted the building company next door as they are putting up 1.5m high fences, if we had said nothing we would of got a free fence but I don't want to wait years for plants to grow to get some privacy, so I asked them to quotes us for a 1.8m high fence to match that in the back yard, I can't see over it and it's lovely. Esp since it's going to be a rental....

3rd of April
I met our Building supervisor Craig today, just happened to be there as I drove past on the way to school. Nice and friendly...He is really happy with the Brick layers work, explained he has had a few days off as his daughter needs spinal surgery at Westmead kids, I wasn't complaining, thinks it should be finished by end of week, maybe into next week, roof tiles to arrive soon and will go on as soon as bricks are done. No photos as I am on afternoon shift and they are already there of a morning.
